Traveling Manchester to London is traveling between two of the United Kingdom’s centers of power. London has finance and Manchester has industry, but both are heavily favored for arts, sports, and nightlife. Still, London is the capital and has plenty of reasons one would need to travel to London from Manchester. Because of the size of both cities there are plenty ways to make the trip.

Fortunately, this favorite pairing of cities is geographically favored in that ground based transportation abounds. Yet, there is an option for air travel should one prefer.

Traveling via aircraft from Manchester to London can be done on BMI. This one-hour flight can be relatively inexpensive. It also has the advantage of arriving at London Heathrow, which can place in a good place to take further international flights to the entire world. Even if one is going into London there is slew of options in car rentals, car services, taxicabs, and public transportation at the Heathrow Airport.

Of course, flying would be the most expensive manner to take that trip. There is ground transportation for getting from Manchester to London. The quickest way to travel on the ground is to use rail transport. This train trip is a two-hour Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston run. The good news is this route runs frequently throughout the day. The longest but cheapest option is taking a bus. It takes over five hours (except the overnight) from Manchester Central Coach Station to the London Victoria Coach Station. National Express provides this route.
