There are separate check-in areas for international and charter flights and it is very important to know when to check in so that you don’t turn up late for your flight. For international flights you check in 3 hours prior to departure, for European flights you check in 2 hours prior to departure and for domestic flights you check in 90 minutes prior to departure. Self service check-in is available at Manchester Airport, it is simple and safe to use and can save you a lot of time at the airport. The self service kiosks are distinctive and allow you to print your own boarding card whilst avoiding the queues. Simply follow the on screen instructions to print off your boarding card and drop off your luggage at the bag drop desks. The locations of the bag drop desks are marked on screens next to the kiosk.
This means that there are a lot of people who are looking for car parking at the airport. Terminal 1 parking is very accessible and very cheap to use. It is incredibly useful for people who are flying out as the rates in the long stay car park are very competitive and mean that you won’t have to break the bank to park there. There is even a short stay car park for people who are dropping you off or seeing you on your way. This car park is also very cheap and ensures that you needn’t worry about long stay places being taken up by people who aren’t using it fairly!
